Can I try Gigantum for free?

Absolutely! In fact, for many people, using Gigantum is completely free. The Gigantum Client is MIT-licensed and free to run anywhere. After using Gigantum for a while, you may find that you need more storage or want to do more computing using Gigantum Hub. At that point you can decide if you’d like to upgrade to a paid plan.

Do I need a Gigantum Hub account?

To sync your work with gigantum.com, you need to create an account. This is the default way Gigantum Client is able to share and move Projects and Datasets. If you have access to a self-hosted instance of Gigantum Hub, you may be able to use a different log in.

When can I change my plan?

You can change your plan at any time from your Account page. This lets you upgrade or downgrade, along with modifying the amount of extra storage allocated to your account. Note that to downgrade, the new plan must support your current storage utilization.

What is the difference between Cloud and Self-hosted options?

Gigantum Hub is hosted publicly at gigantum.com. This lets you share, backup, and move your work without having to deal with any of the complexity of hosting the server yourself.

Self-hosted licenses let you run Gigantum Hub services in your own commercial cloud account or on your own hardware. This is generally best for teams who don’t mind the complexity of hosting themselves and need additional features such as security and privacy.
